The PACE and therapeutic parenting model of care is used in our daily approach to manage children displaying challenging behaviours and dysregulation in their emotions.
We emphasise the ethos of a professional parenting approach to help our children build meaningful attachment and relationships based upon mutual respect, trust, resilience and understanding and the need to function effectively socially.

The Emerald reflects the setup of a devoted family home where children are centred at the heart of what we do. It’s daily running is based on a structured day with clear routines, clear and firm boundaries, and personalised care.

Ethos
Residential childcare should value and nurture each child as an individual with talents, strengths and capabilities that can develop and grow.
Residential childcare should foster positive relationships, encouraging strong bonds between children and adults in the home based on jointly undertaken activities, shared daily life, domestic and non-domestic routines, and established boundaries of acceptable behaviour. Residential childcare should be ambitious, nurturing children’s school learning and out-of-school learning and their ambitions for their future.

Implementation of our ethos is key to our Home and practice, therefore we will always endeavour to ensure our ethos and principles are prevalent through our care.
We believe it is easy to throw buzzwords when it comes to Children’s Care but we like to take a practical approach in our Home’s running, namely that the Home and Care should be centred around the Child’s progression. To nurture and provide a safe space which will have a positive impact on them now and throughout their lives.
